Kultured Misfits started with a table.

In college, I found my people in the most unlikely group on campus. We came from different backgrounds, different hometowns, and different ideas about almost everything. From music taste, different beief systems and lifestyles. We disagreed, loudly and often. But every time, we came back to the table.

Looking back, we were the misfits of campus. Nobody would have put us together. But every time I left that table, I walked away feeling kultured: sharper, wider, and more myself than when I sat down.

That's where the name comes from, and it's still the whole idea.

Misfits is who we are. We're the people who were never meant to fit in: the only one in the room, the one who didn't match the mold, the neighborhood, the job title, or anybody's expectations.

Kultured is what we make of it. Our difference isn't something to fix. It's where our taste, our perspective, and our culture come from. Put misfits in a room together and you don't get chaos. You get culture.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs, and I built KM in Atlanta, a city that has always made culture on its own terms. 

Today, people write to us from across the country and around the world to tell us their stories: the moment they realized they didn't fit, and what they made of it. Those stories are the reason we make what we make.

Our signature pieces are cut from heavyweight fabric and built to last, because being different was never a phase.
