Kultured Misfits doesn’t believe higher education should be bought. Until the rest of America catches up; we decided to give back. We are thrilled to introduce the annual “Legalize Free College” scholarship. The scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors and currency enrolled undergraduate students (up to the age of 25). Also, the applicant must submit an official transcript, sent from the school.
The scholarship will be disbursed August 1, 2016 with a cash prize awarded to the top submission(s). The deadline to submit your information is June 1, 2016.
Allowing students the opportunity to pursue higher education is something we value. Why wait when we can take action? Kultured Misfits is all about encouraging others to defy the odds and rise above the rest. With the help of our cohorts and supporters, Kultured Misfits will be able to provide financial assistance to students each and every year. We look forward to the submissions we will be receiving, and learning about what others are doing to redefine kulture.
All you have to do is submit a 3-5 minute video of yourself explaining who you are. Why do defy every label? What makes you stand out from the rest? What makes you radical, creative and a Kultured Misfit? Also, tell us about what you have done within the past 3 years that makes you a misfit. If you are impacting the community, share that information! If you are challenging the norm and encouraging others to do something extraordinary, we want to hear your story. Give examples of ways in which you as an individual shift culture and break barriers. Most importantly, be creative and have fun! We aren’t looking for perfect answers, but authentic misfits!
